Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
Day one:
The boys started off Friday with their pool games against BSAK, JESS and Dubai Hurricanes.
They had a nervous start against BSAK with it being their first proper game together and lost 14-7 to BSAK.
They then started with a more gutsy performance against JESS, but ran out of steam at the end losing 21-5.
In our final pool game against Dubai hurricanes, they started to attack with more venom and show what they can actually do, but didn't stick to the systems and therefore left a lot of tries out there. They only ran out winners 5-0.
Day two (knockout rugby):
They started the morning on pitch 2 against Kings School Al Barsha, where they were ruthless in attack and defence. They played together as a team and supported each other well, running out winners in a 33-7 point game.
On to the semi finals they played against Repton school Dubai. They were going to have to dig deep for this one and work hard as a team. Their defence was resolute and was able to put pressure on the Repton team to make mistakes and capitalise on them to score 3 tries. Final score 17-5 to NAE.
Plate final:
On pitch 2, where the day started, is where the day would finish for the boys against the WSO Falcons.
It took a few minutes to get into the game, but after 2 tries were scored by NAE, the tries just kept coming. Excellent work rate and support as a squad helped them win the plate final with an impressive 40-7 win.
This is a huge statement for the future showing that we are a team that should be competing for the cup.
The most important thing is the boys had a great weekend and showcased themselves, their schools, and their families in the best way possible. They are a credit to their respective schools and it is the start of something exciting for the Nord Anglia Education Rugby programme.
