On the 9th of October, the Year 13 Hungarian class took part in an excursion uncovering a key part of Hungarian history and poetry. Their journey began in Gát utca, where they visited the birthplace and childhood home of József Attila. There, they participated in an educational session, exploring the poet's life and work, as well as receiving the opportunity to see original artifacts from the poet’s life. Afterward, they explored other notable sites in Ferencváros associated with József Attila, such as his elementary school, giving perspective into the poet’s early life. Following a quick lunch, the group spent the afternoon at the National Museum, where they received an engaging presentation from Ms Piry focusing on the history of Hungary in the 20th-century. (Tomi)
