With over 15 years of experience in international education, Marcus brings a strong background in teaching and school leadership, particularly within German-language and bilingual programs. He holds qualifications from Germany and the US, including a Master of Education in International Teaching and a second Master’s degree in History, which underpins his commitment to inquiry-based learning and inclusive, student-centered education.
Previously, Marcus served as Director of the German Program at Shekou International School, where he led the development of curriculum, mentored faculty, and oversaw program growth in a multilingual environment. Most recently, he has worked as a homeroom and language support teacher, continuing his focus on multilingual education and professional collaboration.
Marcus is passionate about empowering both students and teachers through collaborative leadership, continuous learning, and meaningful educational experiences.
Outside of school, he enjoys cycling, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is married and a proud father of two daughters.
He looks forward to contributing to the continued success of the German Primary School and to working closely with students, staff, and families within the school community.
