BSG Guangzhou Scholarships 2025/26
This week in English we have learnt about imperative verbs (bossy verbs). With the help of Little Miss Bossy we got a really good understanding of the meaning of the word ‘bossy’! Using our knowledge of how to use imperative verbs, we gave each other silly instructions to follow and by the end of the lesson, it was very clear what instructions are.
Our next challenge was to explore what everyday instructions look. We now know that recipe books, instructions manuals and safety rules are all different forms of instructions. But what do written instructions look like? Looking at a selection of instruction sheets, the children worked in teams to investigate the similarities and differences between sets of instructions. They did an impressive job of identifying headings, sub-headings, numbered steps, pictures and bullet points. It was thrilling to see them apply their knowledge of features of non-chronological reports to help identifying features of instructions text. A job well done Year 2!
On June 8, the sun shone brightly on the BSG Family Fun Run, where over 200 participants came together for a day of laughter, community spirit, and healthy competition.
