Hi, my name is Alex, I am currently in year 10 having recently moved to Warsaw joining TBS in August 2022. This year I am delighted to having been awarded the role of Wolf house captain. My interests include music, art, travelling and sport, specifically netball, hockey, and rugby. Outside of school, I am also constantly willing to try new things. I am looking forward to help lead upcoming events this year and contribute to helping other students where and when needed. I really believe that with the help of the other house captains we will be able to make the house system a fun and valuable experience with multiple house competitions and events. One thing I really value is the relationship I have with my peers at school, and I am looking forward to developing this even further through my role.
’m Victoria. I’m the year 11 student and I’ll be the new house captain for the Bison House. My dream is to become an artist and make everyone smile. I like reading manga, watching anime and talking to my friends, I hope I’ll be good in this new role, and we all manage to smile together.
Hi, my name is Jessica. I am currently in year 8 and I have been in the school for about 1 year and 5 months as I joined at the start of year 7. If you were to ask me what my favorite hobbies are, I would most likely say reading as well as singing. I have a huge love for travelling around the world along side my family as well. I was beyond excited when I found out that I got the opportunity of working besides other determined and amazing people in the role of being house captain of the Bear house. I look forward to working besides my peers and teachers. I might be the youngest house captain but I will make sure that I work just as hard and maybe even harder than my fellow captains to ensure that we are able to make competing a fun and encouraging experience to everyone involved.
‘If you would like the once in a lifetime opportunity to come to the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, then this is your chance! This year, we are asking students to submit a short video which asks you to complete this following statement: If I were an innovator at MIT, I would.. The videos should last between 90 seconds and 3 minutes’… – this is a message I found in the TBS newsletter in March 2024.
The Max Box Project was an excellent opportunity for Year 9 students to engage in a hands-on task that not only reinforced their understanding of mathematical concepts such as volume, nets, and algebraic modeling but also promoted critical meta-cognitive skills. The task, which involved determining the maximum volume of an open box made from a 20 cm x 20 cm square, required students to think deeply, plan, reflect, and adjust their approach as they progressed. This end-of-unit project encouraged self-awareness of their learning processes while fostering essential problem-solving skills.
